GWS300 – Grodan Classic Wrapped Slab 300x900x75 mm (8 pack)
Reliable single-year slab with easy irrigation and quick drainage.
Grodan Classic is a reliable stone wool slab with a horizontal fibre structure. It suits frequent irrigation and drains readily, so EC is quick to refresh and easy to control, and roots spread out across the slab. It is designed as a single-year slab and comes wrapped. Grodan stone wool is naturally slightly alkaline, so soak at pH 5.5 to bring the slab to approximately pH 6.2. Saturate the slab with nutrient solution, wait at least 24 hours, then cut one drain slit at the lowest point, never under a block. Place rooted Grodan Delta blocks on top. Grodan matches Delta blocks to 75 mm high slabs. Use dry-backs to steer the crop: small, frequent shots for vegetative growth, and larger, less frequent shots for generative growth. EC is managed through drainage, not heavy flushing.
